Dr. Junuguru Srinivas: BRICS becomes prominent group in the context of changing global politics

It is believed that by the year 2050, the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) could become some of the most dominant economies in the world. At the same time ‘BRICSoskeptics’ point to disproportions in member countries’ potential as well as geographical distance. Could BRICS overcome internal frictions and effectively respond to global challenges? What are the perspectives of the alliance’s enlargement? Dr. Junuguru Srinivas, an Assistant Professor at Woxsen University, shares his view on BRICS prospects.
